2014 China-US Enterprise Investment Cooperation forum was held on Sept 9th in Xiamen with the theme of exploring new opportunities of investment for China-US enterprises. American Chamber of Commerce in South China, Ministry of Commerce Investment Promotion Agency, Xiamen Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau and more than 100 Chinese and American business organizations and enterprises representatives attended the forum.
Commerce Department deputy director of Investment Promotion Bureau and Xiamen Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau Deputy Secretary delivered welcome speech. Yang Yihang said, “China and US have carried out fruitful cooperation in the field of investment. In 2013, there are 1061 US –registered companies had been set up in China and registered capital amounted to 2.82biliion dollars, up to 8.5% from last year. During from the January to July 2014, there are 682 the newly-invested projects (up to 10.2%). American companies are still the major source of China’s utilization of foreign investment. U.S. multinationals are still bullish on the Chinese market. “

American business representatives hope to reach an agreement with the Chinese investors to attract more Chinese into the United States.
