The U.S.-China Energy Cooperation Program (ECP), China Ecological Environmental Channel (EETV), Friends of Nature (FON), and Beijing Marathon Association(BMA) jointly launched and successfully held the “Energy & Charity Run” on November 20, 2020. More than 100 participants from Westinghouse, ConocoPhillips, Emerson, SGE, Boeing, Cummins, China Overseas Development Association, CNPC, CNOOC, National Energy Shale Gas R&D (Experiment) Center, Beijing Gas Group, Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), U.S. Embassy in China and many well-known energy companies and organizations signed up for the charity run.
ECP and its member companies have launched the “Energy and Charity Initiative” since 2016, actively sharing the work and contribution of energy and environmental protection enterprises in charity. For three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019, ECP, together with Westinghouse, ConocoPhillips, Emerson and other member companies and partners, organized the “Energy and Charity” series.
The “Energy & Charity Run” is the first outdoor charity fellowship in international energy circle in 2020, which has been widely praised by all parties involved. This kind of positive and healthy outdoor charity activity will continue to be held. We also believe that more energy and environmental protection enterprises and like-minded partners will join us in the future, to run together “for health, for nature, for the future”, and work together to practice high-quality green and low-carbon sustainable development cause, and more actively respond to climate change.
