2024年9月22日，中国美国商会中美能源合作项目联合多家爱心企业和合作伙伴在北京温榆河公园成功举办了第四届 “能源环保公益跑” 活动。来自国家能源局、商务部、商务部贸发局、工信部、国家能源页岩气研发（实验）中心、中国海油、中国石化、中国石油、国家管网、国家能源集团、中国石油国家卓越工程师学院、北京大学能源研究院、北京建筑大学、甘肃省驻京办、美国驻华大使馆、康菲中国、西屋电气、霍尼韦尔、Giro、波音、阿尔泰克、斯伦贝谢、壳牌、威乐、和睦家等爱心企业和合作伙伴的爱心跑团及个人近300位爱心选手一起报名参加了此次公益跑活动。
此次公益跑延续了能源环保助力可持续发展的公益初心，在能源局国际司和规划司的协调下，将活动收到的壹万柒仟元爱心公益跑报名费，全部捐赠甘肃省天水市清水县红十字会支持白坨镇清水县第四中学，用于帮助第四中学更换陈旧办公电脑，更新化学、物理等学科的教学实验设备、仪器来提高223名在校学生的教学质量，同时为20多名特殊困难学生提供必要的助学帮扶。
ECP和西屋电气、康菲中国等爱心会员企业自2016年启动“能源公益合作计划”，积极分享能源环保企业在公益领域的工作和贡献。从第一届“能源公益招待会”开始，ECP与部分热衷公益的会员公司及合作伙伴一起组织举办能源环保系列公益活动。新冠疫情期间，ECP又联合合作伙伴，于2020年发起首届“能源环保公益跑”户外健康公益活动，之后在冬奥公园马拉松大本营、城市绿心森林公园举办了公益跑活动，倡导能源环保理念，赛事过程中努力降低消耗品，且将赛事收到的爱心报名费捐赠用于支持乡村振兴或助学等公益项目。
“能源环保公益跑”目前已经成长为能源圈年度品牌公益活动，希望来年更多能源环保爱心企业和人士报名参与，继续为能源环保绿色低碳发展贡献力量。

4th Annual Energy Charity Run Raises Funds for Education and Environmental Sustainability
On September 22, the AmCham China’s US-China Energy Cooperation Program (ECP), in collaboration with numerous corporate sponsors and partners, successfully hosted the 4th annual “Energy & Charity Run” at Wenyu River Park in Beijing.
Nearly 300 participants, including teams and individuals from various government agencies, and energy companies took part in the event. Participants represented organizations such as the National Energy Administration, Sinopec, CNOOC, CNPC, the US Embassy, ConocoPhillips China, Westinghouse, Honeywell, Giro, Boeing, Altek, SLB, Shell, Wilo, and Beijing United Family Hospital.
Staying true to its mission of promoting sustainability, this year’s Charity Run raised RMB 17,000, all of which was donated to the Red Cross Society of Qingshui County, Gansu Province. The funds will go toward upgrading office computers and science lab equipment for 223 students at Qingshui County No. 4 Middle School. Additionally, the donation will support over 20 students in need with academic scholarships.
Since its inception in 2016, AmCham China’s ECP and its member companies like Westinghouse and ConocoPhillips have been dedicated to combining the power of energy innovation with philanthropic efforts. ECP has brought together energy companies to contribute to rural revitalization and educational causes. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the inaugural “Energy & Charity Run” was launched, and subsequent charity runs have continued to raise funds and awareness for environmental sustainability and resource conservation.
We are proud that the “Energy & Charity Run” has now become a signature annual event in the energy sector, setting an example for combining corporate responsibility with sustainability. Looking ahead to next year, the ECP hopes to welcome even more participants from energy companies and individuals committed to advancing low-carbon, green development.
