On July 18th, 2016 Energy Performance Contracting Networking Event and Working Group Meeting held successfully in assembly room of ECP office in Beijing. Over 50 people who work for the government and enterprises from US and China attended the meeting.
When the meeting begins, administrative staffs from China Nation Development and Reform Commission and US Department of Energy delivered opening remarks first. After that, representatives from EMCA delivered a speech on“US-China EPC Pilot Project introduction and submission standards & EEF/EPC sub-forum Preparation”. Then, the ESCO expert Mr.BT Lim from Johnson Controls (member company of ECP) as well as Ms. Ma Yanjuan shared projects of contract energy management demonstration project completed in 2015 to the attended members. After that, the attendees had a detailed discussion on how to achieve the EPC pilot project criteria .
In the afternoon, enterprises from China together with member companies of ECP made a speech on the innovation & Scale up for EPC+. This speech contained five cases of the detailed program, and all of them were shared on the meeting. By listening and discussing the innovation & Scale up for EPC+, attendees had a deeper understand on the relations between“innovation” and “energy”.
The meeting put forward higher requirements for energy saving services from the government level as well as corporate and strategic level of cooperation. ECP and EMCA will continue to work together as the leading agency, moving forward more pragmatic the U.S. – Sino contract energy management work. At the same time, we hope to hear good news that the project level cooperation will get substantial progress on the US-China energy efficiency Forum in October.
