On April 19th, Hosted by US-China Energy Cooperation Program (ECP), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as well as Hebei Energy Conservation Supervision and Monitoring Center, the smart energy application for Hebei held successfully in XiMei Continental Hotel, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei province.
At nine o’clock, the conference began. Firstly, Mr. Steven Winkates from Program Management Director of East Asia, USTDA, one representative from Department of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection, NDRC, Mr. Jay Biggs from Commercial Officer, Commercial Service of the US Embassy as well as one member from Hebei DRC delivered opening remarks for the meeting.
During smart energy application for Hebei，members explains many aspects such as“China’s 13th Five-Year-Plan on Industry Energy Conservation Outlook”. After a brief rest, representatives from local government together with representatives from ECP member companies discussed closely“Topic: Innovation, Coordinated and Green development, Opening up and Inclusiveness”.
In the afternoon, ECP member companies started discussing things about“Smart Energy Application for Hebei” at first, they also give their opinions about the development of Hebei province in the future and solutions to the recent problems respectively. As a province which surrounds capital of China, Beijing, most of the company expressed their views that this enables Hebei province to create many advantages through these conditions.
When discussion came to an end, the representatives of the government, ECP members report things on the topics about “The Implementation plan of Providing Residential Heating by Heat Recovery” “Johnson Controls’ Efforts for Clean and Sustainable Cities” to share them with others. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Steven Winkates, Program Management Director of East Asia, USTDA and representatives from Hebei DRC did the closing remarks and networking jobs.
Smart energy application for Hebei enabled the government as well as the enterprises could communicate effectively. It enables new technology and resources from ECP member companies from US could be applicate effectively in the cities together with the corporations. This is also what ECP wants. We hope to contribute more to the governments as well as the enterprises in US-Sino’s communication from the bottom of our heart.
