中美(福建)能源环保技术研讨会在福州成功举办

中美(福建)能源环保技术研讨会—变废为宝,环保助推经济发展

 2018年12月18日,中美能源合作项目(ECP)在福州市皇冠假日酒店成功举办了以”中美(福建)能源环保技术研讨会—变废为宝,环保助推经济发展”为主题的研讨会。本次研讨会由美国贸易发展署、ECP、中国城市和小城镇改革发展中心和中国国际贸易促进委员会福建省委员会主办,并得到了福建省工业和信息化厅、福建省人民政府外事办公室、中国国际贸易促进委员会龙岩市支会和美国驻广州总领事馆的大力支持。来自6家美国公司和130余家中国企业及政府部门的200余位代表积极参与,围绕城市垃圾和工业废料垃圾的气化技术,城市和工业废水治理,工业余热回收再利用技术,环境监测、VOCs挥发性有机物监测和工业废气处理技术,和厨余垃圾处理等主题进行了共享和深入讨论。本次为期一天的会议由中美能源合作项目马莉主任和福建省贸促会秘书长杨立云主持,美国贸易发展署东亚区项目主任温凯时(Steven Winkates)、美国驻广州总领馆总领事李靖(James Levy)及中国福建省贸促会会长陈震进行了致辞。

在本次研讨会上,来自福建省政府机构和中美两国企业的代表介绍并探讨了当地环保和能源领域的政策措施、相关技术的发展、和深化合作的前景。来自福建省环境科学研究院和福建省环境保护产业协会的代表分别介绍了福建省环保和清洁生产政策和促进措施以及环保、能源领域中美合作的潜在机遇和挑战,帮助参会的美国企业了解当地的政策环境和潜在商业机遇。同时,来自卡特彼勒索拉透平、赛莱默、赛默飞世尔科技、艾默生爱适易、中国五环工程有限公司和福建龙净环保股份有限公司的企业嘉宾也做了精彩分享,介绍了他们在燃气轮机燃料、工业废水治理、工业园区VOCs 监测、垃圾处理及能源转化等方面的最新技术发展情况,这些先进的技术可为福建省实现环保和清洁生产的目标提供强有力的保障。研讨会还专门设置了一个“环保、能源领域的合作经验、机遇和挑战”的对话环节,来自中美两国的企业代表进行了广泛的交流,共享了环保和能源领域的经验,并就未来合作中潜在的机遇和挑战进行了讨论。最后,与会的嘉宾代表就“能源”与“环保”主题做了企业对接和洽谈,为未来合作项目的成功落实奠定了基础。 

   ECP希望通过城市系列研讨会能够聚焦未来,促进中国城市创新与变革,实现城市在经济增长、社会发展、资源利用及环境保护等方面的可持续发展,使双方企业、企业与城市之间能促成更多的商业合作机会,最大限度地为城市决策、建设和发展提供有效的借鉴。中美能源合作城市系列研讨会将继续作为中美行业与城市之间探讨合作共赢、共同发展的一个国际交流合作平台,与众多的合作伙伴一道,发挥各自优势,共创中美可持续城市的未来。

U.S.-China (Fujian) Waste to Energy Technical Workshop

On December 18, 2018, the U.S.-China Energy Cooperation Program (ECP) successfully hosted the “U.S.-China (Fujian) Waste to Energy Technical Workshop” at the Crowne Plaza Fuzhou. This event was co-hosted by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), ECP, China Center for Urban Development (CCUD), as well as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Fujian Provincial Council, with the support of Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian Province, CCPIT Longyan Chapter, and Consulate General of the United States in Guangzhou. Nearly 200 people from Six U.S. companies and 130 Chinese companies all actively participated in the discussions on urban waste and industrial waste gasification technology, urban and industrial sewage treatment, industrial waste heat recovery, environmental monitoring, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) monitoring and waste gas treatment, as well as kitchen waste treatment. This one-day workshop was moderated by ECP Executive Director Ma Li and Yang Liyun, Secretary General of Fujian CCPIT Provincial Council. East Asian Regional Director of USTDA Steven Winkates, Guangzhou Consul General James Levy, and President of the CCPIT Fujian Provincial Council all presented keynote speeches. 

 

During this workshop, Fujian government representatives and companies from the U.S. and China engaged in dialogues regarding local environmental protection and energy policies, technological development, as well as the future of their deepened cooperation. Representatives from the Fujian Provincial Research Academy of Environmental Sciences and Fujian Environmental Protection Industry Association introduced the provincial environmental protection and cleaner production policies, their promotion, and related commercial opportunities. Representatives from Caterpillar–Solar Turbines, Xylem, Thermo Fischer, Emerson – Insinkerator, China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd, and Fujian Longking all shared their companies’ recent technological development in the fields of gas turbine fuel, industrial sewage treatment, VOCs monitoring at industrial parks, and waste to energy. These advanced technologies will strengthen the development of environmental protection and cleaner production in Fujian. The workshop also introduced a session titled “Cooperation Experience, Opportunities, and Challenges in the Energy and environment Industry” where company representatives from both the U.S. and China participated in comprehensive discussions and shared their experience and expertise on the energy and environmental protection industry. They also addressed potential opportunities and challenges. Lastly, the participants engaged in networking discussions and established the ground work for their future cooperation projects.

 

Through the City Workshop Series, ECP hopes to shed light on China’s urban transformation and promote cities’ economic growth, social development, resource utilization, and other sustainable development opportunities. Moreover, it focuses on fostering business cooperation opportunities between cities and companies, supporting urban policy-making, construction, and development, as well as creating a platform for the exchange of expertise. The ECP City Workshop Series, as an international platform for mutually-beneficial cooperation, will continue to incorporate the strengths of its partners while constructing a sustainable future for U.S.-China urban development.
