On April 1-3, 2026, the Green China · Nantong Zero-Carbon Industrial Park International Cooperation Outreach trip was successfully held in Rugao, Rudong, and Nantong city, Jiangsu Province . The event was co-organized by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce (CIPA) and Nantong Municipal Bureau of Commerce, supported and participated by National Green Partnership of Industrial Parks(GPIPC), China Hydrogen Alliance, ECP, iDGP, and a number of leading international and domestic companies with low carbon green technology solutions or projects.
As a professional international platform ECP deeply engaged in the energy sector and recently focusing on zero-carbon park project cooperation, ECP has prioritized cooperation opportunities for zero-carbon parks during the energy transition in the recent years. ECP joined 30 enterprises, institutions, and multinationals including Emerson Veolia, ABB, Danfoss, SKF, Alfa Laval, Aden Industries, Cargill, Schaeffler, Rockwell, and ZF Friedrichshafen AG, and leading Chinese companies including Shanghai Electric, Changjiang Electric, Goldwind, Teld, and Guofu Hydrogen,as well as think tanks.
Tang Song, Deputy Director General of CIPA, noted that China’s green transition and the construction of zero-carbon industrial parks and factories are creating huge market opportunities for the low-carbon industry. Nantong, with its abundant wind and solar resources, strong port infrastructure, and solid industrial base, should leverage project-driven cooperation to deliver tangible outcomes.
During the two-and-a-half-day inspection tour, the delegation visited Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd., Scania Manufacturing (China) Co., Ltd., the Yangkou Port Pilot Base, the Yangkou Port Planning Exhibition Hall, Hangzhou Oxygen Plant Group Co., Ltd, the Guohua Solar-Hydrogen-Storage Project Site, the Nantong Planning Hall, and the Alibaba Cloud Park. The delegation was deeply impressed by Nantong’s development and progress in the green and low-carbon field. Delegation members shared their practical experience in renewable energy integration, smart energy efficiency management, and zero-carbon factory certification, and held in-depth discussions with the Development and Reform Commission, Commerce Bureau of the industrial park, as well as local enterprises such as Scania, Ansiro, PetroChina (Jiangsu LNG division), Yuanhai Cable, and Jinhong Paper. Feedback from the participating delegation members indicated that the event was efficient and pragmatic, and that Nantong’s zero-carbon park construction has moved from planning to substantive project implementation. The event organizers and supporting organizations including ECP will continue to play a bridging role, assisting in introducing leading zero-carbon solutions and facilitating precise matchmaking between Chinese and foreign enterprises in terms of technology, capital, and application scenarios. As next steps, focusing on the specific project needs of zero-carbon parks in Rugao, Rudong, and Nantong, efforts will be made to serve enterprises and clients to engage in the industrial chain of Nantong, and helping Nantong build itself into a leading hub for international cooperation on zero-carbon parks in the Yangtze River Delta region.
